Privacy Policy
How OCDly handles the information you share with us.
Information we collect
When you send a message through the contact form, we collect the name, email address, and message you provide so we can reply to you.
We do not ask for health information through this website, and we ask that you avoid including sensitive personal details in a contact message.
How we use your information
Contact details are used to respond to your enquiry and to keep a record of the conversation. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use enquiry details for advertising.
Data stored on your device
Some features of the OCDly app are designed to keep content on your own device. The Exposure Vault, for example, stores exposure images in encrypted storage on the device with a built-in three-view limit.
Your notes are encrypted on your device before they ever reach our secure cloud, so your thoughts are for your eyes only.
Journal, Insight Page, and AI
Your Insight Page, Journal entries, and AI conversations are encrypted end-to-end, meaning even we cannot read them. They are never accessed by our team, never used for research, and never shared with anyone.
Research and de-identified data
We may use de-identified usage data, such as exercise completion and engagement patterns, to support OCD-related research that helps us and others better understand and treat OCD.
No name, contact detail, or other personal identifier is ever attached to a research finding, and there is no way to trace it back to you.
Assessment questionnaire
The optional assessment and history questionnaire is a personal tracking tool, not a diagnostic instrument. Answers, history logs, and scores are encrypted in transit and at rest, you can delete them at any time, and they are never sold to third parties.
Third-party services
OCDly uses Firebase (Google) for backend infrastructure and data storage, and Dreamflow for application development and hosting. These providers process limited data on our behalf and maintain their own privacy practices.
Retention
Contact enquiries are kept only for as long as needed to handle your request and to maintain a reasonable record of correspondence.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask for a correction, or ask us to delete your enquiry. Write to Support@ocdly.app and we will respond.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page.
OCDly is designed to complement professional care and is not a substitute for diagnosis or treatment by a qualified mental health professional.
