Terms & Conditions
The terms that apply when you use the OCDly app and website, written in plain language.
A Space for Your Growth
This is a supportive companion for your self-guided practice. It is a tool created with love to help you explore evidence-based techniques, like Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), at your own pace. While we support your resilience, please remember this app is a self-help resource and not a substitute for professional therapy or medical advice. We provide tools, but your healing journey is uniquely yours.
Privacy Policy
Your privacy and well-being are the heartbeat of OCDly. We built this app to be a supportive companion on your journey to clarity, but it's important to remember that OCDly is a self-help tool, not a doctor or a crisis service. While we are here to support you with “Untangling” your thoughts, the app isn't a substitute for professional medical care. To keep your inner world safe, we encrypt your notes on your device before they ever reach our secure cloud; this means your thoughts are for your eyes only. By using OCDly, you're taking the lead in your own growth, using our tools at your own pace and responsibility. We've designed this space to be a secure vault for your resilience, but please remember to reach out to professional emergency services if you ever feel you are in a crisis.
Your wellness is our concern. If you are in crisis, please reach out for professional help immediately. Contact a licensed therapist or emergency services for the support you deserve. OCDly is a partner for steady days, but professionals are there for the stormy ones.
Research & Data Usage
We may use de-identified usage data from your time on OCDly, such as exercise completion and engagement patterns, to support OCD-related research and studies, helping us and others better understand and treat OCD.
Your Insight Page, Journal entries, and AI are not part of this. They are encrypted end-to-end, meaning even we cannot read them. They are never accessed by our team, never used for research, and never shared with anyone.
For any data that is used, your privacy comes first: no name, contact detail, or other personal identifier is ever attached to a research finding, and there is zero way to trace it back to you. Your data remains private and encrypted at all times.
Our Promise & Your Path
We have built OCDly with immense care and heart. Because every person's journey is beautifully unique, we provide the app “as is” and focus on providing you the best possible map for your progress. As the leader of your own wellness, you understand that the results and choices made while using these tools are your own, and OCDly and its creators are here to support, not take responsibility for, those personal outcomes. If you interact with our AI support features, please keep in mind that you are talking to an automated system, not a human or a clinician.
Growing Together
As OCDly grows, we may occasionally update these guidelines to better support our community. If we make a significant change, we will warmly notify you inside the app 30 days before it takes effect. Your continued use of OCDly after that time will simply mean you are happy to continue our journey together under the updated path.
Assessment Questionnaire Disclaimer
By using this optional assessment and history questionnaire, you agree that it is strictly a personal tracking tool, not a diagnostic instrument. It does not provide medical advice or clinical diagnoses. If you need professional health support or a formal diagnosis, you must consult a licensed healthcare professional.
Your participation is completely voluntary; you can stop tracking or delete your metrics at any time. For your privacy, all questionnaire answers, history logs, and scores are fully encrypted both in transit and at rest, and your data will never be sold to third parties.
This app is not a crisis-monitoring service; if you are experiencing a mental health emergency or severe distress, please contact your local emergency services immediately.
Age Requirement
OCDly is intended for users aged 15 and older with guidance of a specialist. If you are under 15, or are a parent or guardian with concerns about a user under 15, please contact us at Support@ocdly.app.
Subscription & Billing Terms
Subscriptions are billed through the App Store (depending on your device). Any free trial and pricing shown during checkout are managed by the store.
Unless you cancel ahead of time, an eligible free trial will convert to a paid subscription, and the subscription will auto-renew at the end of each billing period until it is cancelled.
Cancellations and plan changes are handled in your Apple subscription settings (not inside OCDly). Cancellation stops future renewals and your access remains active until the end of the current billing period.
Refunds are handled by the App Store according to their refund policies and processes. The store may grant a refund in some cases, and we follow the store's decision.
Promotional and discount codes (including offer codes) are issued and redeemed through the App Store and are subject to the applicable store terms. Codes may have expiration dates, redemption limits, eligibility restrictions, and other conditions set by the store or by OCDly. Promotional codes have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Partner Program: Partners may receive complimentary access while their partnership remains active. Any compensation or commercial arrangement is agreed separately in writing. Partners are responsible for their own tax obligations. OCDly may end a partnership at any time.
If you have billing questions about OCDly itself, contact us at Support@ocdly.app.
Third-Party Services
OCDly uses the following third-party services to operate: Firebase (Google) for backend infrastructure and data storage, and Dreamflow for application development and hosting. These providers process limited data on our behalf and maintain their own privacy practices.
Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, misuse the app, or engage in behavior that harms other users or OCDly. You may also delete your account at any time via Settings.
Contact Information
For privacy, legal, billing, or general inquiries, including questions about account age requirements, contact us at Support@ocdly.app.
